Description

This interactive, online safety training is for all waterway users including personnel in marine construction, dredging, coastal restoration, pipeline companies, ports, agencies and emergency responders. There are eight (8) training sections that can be completed on your schedule and on a variety of devices like desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile phones.


•How working safely near underwater pipelines and utilities differs from land-based excavation.

•Making required 811 notifications to identify the location of utilities and pipelines before work begins.

•Short-term and long-term pre-project research and planning steps for pipeline and marine construction personnel.

•Why communication is the key to safe, successful project design, implementation, and pipeline avoidance; and

•Safety and emergency checklists to use daily and keep on-board marine vessels.
